Departments
From now on there will be five departments:
- CPU (City Patrol Unit)
- HSIU (High Speed Interception Unit)
- SID (Special Investigations Department)
- SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics)
- SVU (Special Vehicles Unit)
- CPU
From Cadet until PO III, you will be a City Patrol Unit.
This means you just have to patrol the city.
- HSIU
From Sergeant I until Sergeant III, you will be a High Speed Interception Unit.
This means you can go on patrol undercover, or pursue a criminal in a car when needed.
(For example when he/she has a fast car)
- SID
From Detective I until Detective III, you will be part of the Special Investigations Department.
This means you have to solve cases, get information out of prisoners, etc.
- SWAT
When you are Lieutenant you will be part of the Special Weapons and Tactics team.
This means you have to infiltrate in dangerous gang areas, clear buildings, etc.
The SWAT will also be needed when there are multiple heavily armed suspects.
- SVU
From Captain you will be a Special Vehicles Unit.
The SVU contains:
- ASU (Air Support Unit), when Air Support by helicopter is needed.
- MSU (Marine Support Unit), when Marine Support by boat is needed.
When you're SWAT (from Lt), you can still be called by the Commander if he needs you in SID for example.
And you have to obey orders from people with a higher rank!
(Unless the SWAT Commander really needs you)
Don't want to be just a police officer?
But want to be the Commander of the SWAT team? The Lieutenant of the SID?
Then keep on reading!
When you are Lieutenant, you can choose one of the following functions.
(If not already occupied)
- Detective Bureau Commanding Officer: (SID) Assistant of the Office of Support Executive Officer.
- Special Weapon and Tactics Unit Commanding Officer: (SWAT) Assistant of the Office of Operations Executive Officer.
- Special Vehicles Unit Commanding Officer: (SVU) Assistant of the Office of Support Executive Officer.
- City Patrol Unit Commanding Officer: (CPU & HSIU) Assistant of the Office of Support Executive Officer.
- Training Bureau Commanding Officer: Assistant of the Office of Support Executive Officer. He has to train officers.
- Public Information Office Commanding Officer: Assistant of the Office of Support Executive Officer. He is the Lieutenant who takes care of the public information,
for example, he/she talks to SAN about things that happen in the PD. (But not in details or secret information!)
When you are Captain, you can choose one of these two functions.
(If not already occupied)
- Special Operations Bureau Commanding Officer: He is the highest man in the operations of the SWAT team.
He gets the instructions from the Office of Operations Executive Officer. (SWAT Commander)
- Central Bureau Commanding Officer: Captain of the five other offices. (CPU, SID, SVU, Training Bureau and Public Information)
There can only be up to two Commanders.
- Office of Operations Executive Officer: Commander of the SWAT team, has to plan special operations and explains the plan to the Captain. Does not fight alongside other SWAT members.
- Office of Support Executive Officer: Commander of the five other offices.
There can only be up to two Deputy Chiefs.
- Office of Operations Director: Deputy Chief of the SWAT team, he is the highest man in the SWAT. He will never be the Assistant Chief.
- Office of Support Director : Deputy Chief of the five other offices. This means he is the highest man in all five other offices.
Only from this rank on you can get promoted to Assistant Chief.
There can only be one Assistant Chief.
- Chief of Staff: Assistant of the Chief of Police, he's the second highest man in the whole PD.
There can only be one Chief of Police.
- Chief of Police: He is the highest man in the whole Department.
This is the list of the functions you can have.
The functions in red are already occupied.
When you are Lieutenant for example,
you can request to be one of the six functions. Just contact me IG
or forum PM with a good explanation why you should get that rank.
When you are the Lt of SWAT for example, you can choose either
to stay the Lt of SWAT, or to rank up even higher.
BUT: You have to know, the higher you go, the higher your responsibility will be.
AND more will be expected of you when you rank up higher.
(So don't go for Deputy Chief for example, when you're not that active.)
Also, when a function is already occupied, it can become vacant at all times.
(For example when he/she got fired, or wanted to stop)
Just take the right decisions.
Regards
